Type II
COLLAGEN COMPLEX PLUS
Our Type II COLLAGEN COMPLEX PLUS contains:

Type II COLLAGEN: the main component of hyaline cartilage including articular cartilage, although it is also present in intervertebral discs and in the vitreous humor of the eye.
It constitutes 50% of all cartilage proteins and 85-90% of articular cartilage collagen. This type of collagen provides tensile strength and elasticity, which allows joints to be supported.
Articular cartilage protects the bones of the joints from the forces associated with load and impact, and allows smooth, almost frictionless gliding between joint surfaces.
Under certain conditions, age, overweight or injury can generate an inflammatory response in the cartilage causing functional limitation and leading to osteoarthritis.
Supplementation with Collagen Type II has been shown to help improve joint comfort, mobility and flexibility in people with arthropathies.*
VITAMIN C: is a very important and essential nutrient for the health of human beings, since unlike most animals, we are unable to synthesize vitamin C, so we must consume it in the diet or through supplements. It plays innumerable physiological roles, including the biosynthesis of collagen, L-carnitine and certain neurotransmitters. It is also involved in protein metabolism. It is an important physiological antioxidant by limiting the damaging effects of free radicals, preventing or delaying many pathological conditions. Vitamin C also plays an important role in immune function and improves iron absorption among others.*
VITAMIN D: helps the body to absorb calcium for strong bones. It also regulates many other cellular functions in the body. Its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and neuro-protective properties contribute to the health of muscle function brain cell activity and the immune system. It has been demonstrated the vital importance of Vitamin D on immune system to fight off invading bacteria and viruses.*
MAGNESIUM: is an essential mineral for the human body. It is involved in more than 300 enzymatic reactions and acts at different levels. Among other contributions to good health, it is necessary for the proper functioning of muscles and nerves, regulates heart rhythm, supports the immune system, ensures good bone health, helps regulate blood glucose levels, promotes normal blood pressure, participates in protein synthesis and energy metabolism, intervenes in the synthesis of neurotransmitters and the modulation of their activity, and reduces stress by preventing the increase of cortisol.*
CURCUMIN: is a compound derived from turmeric root, wich has been used for millennia in traditional medicine for its recognized anti-inflammatory, hepatoprotective and antioxidant properties, which provide a wide range of benefits for digestive, cardiovascular and cellular health. It promotes joint health through its effects on pain and inflammation.*
METHYL SULFONYL METHANE (MSM): is an organic sulfur compound. This mineral is vital to human health and is found in abundant and concentrated form in joints, hair, skin and nails. MSM is a precursor of the mucopolysaccharides chondroitin, glucosamine, and hyaluronic acid found in joints. It also plays an important role in the production of collagen, which is the main constituent of cartilage, skin and connective tissue, as well as being part of keratin, a protein essential for improving skin, hair and nails. It has anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory and antioxidant properties.*
